Additional Ministry Update

August - September 2007

Chaco, Argentina

            We received a phone call from Mr. Eddie Tull asking us what we were doing for the people of Chaco, Argentina. Chaco has a population of 200,000 people. Most of the people are Toba Indians and live in very humble, small wood and mud houses.  These people live in very poor conditions and suffer from malnutrition. Good clean water is scarce in the city of Chaco. Mr. Eddie Tull sent us some funds to help the people of Chaco.

            We responded by sending one of our best preacher boys, Marcelo Gutierrez, to visit Chaco. Marcelo went to Chaco for 10 days. He traveled almost 600 miles on dusty, dry dirt roads and visited over 100 families.  The reception was very good.  These people are hungry for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Marcelo passed out 1,000 tracts (Fellowship Tract League), 50 John and Romans (Bible and Literature Missionary Foundation), and 3 Bibles (BEAMS).

            He came back with a report of 107 people being saved and many areas picked out to start new churches. He also took over 350 pictures with our digital camera. At one point he said that the camera had been stolen; at another point he said that he had sold the camera to pay for expenses.  But he was just joking!!  He’s a great friend and an excellent soul winner.  Marcelo is willing to go back to Chaco as the funds come in for this project.

            Praise the Lord for this good report!! Maybe you could go to Chaco with a team of workers from your church and reap a great harvest of souls.  Please pray for the people of Chaco!!
