Please pray for a miracle!!

       Here is a note with some needs that we have for the ministry in Argentina.   I will try to be specific and brief.

Big Day of 1,800 in Attendance in November 2009

Pastor Owens announced to the entire church during the first few days of October 2009 that we would have a big day of 1,500 in attendance.  This would be an attendance record for our church.  I had doubts that we would reach this number since our big day in 2008 was 583 in attendance. Our auditorium will only seat 300 people comfortably. We have a 45- by 69-foot auditorium. I love the leadership and vision that Pastor/Missionary Larry Owens has to reach people. He is a tremendous man of God who loves souls.

Our big day was planned for the first Sunday of November. It was a hot day of over 100°F. In the morning we had the buses and vans come in full of children and had activities in a vacant lot in front of the church. Every age group had a preacher to preach the plan of salvation to the children. Two buses came in loaded with over 100 kids. One bus driver refused to take the children home after Sunday school because he was way too overloaded.  We had a lot of excitement and activities to keep the children under control. A dear member of the church who is a business owner donated 1,000 ice cream bars for the children.  That morning we had 1,060 in attendance for Sunday school.  Many of the children heard the Gospel for the first time, and over 300 were saved during the preaching services.  That same day during the evening service, we had 800 teenagers and adults with children show up for the evening service. We hit a record attendance! Praise the Lord!

We desperately need to purchase more property for the church so we can continue to grow. There is a property next to the church that is for sale that we could purchase. Please pray!!

Property # 1

The property behind the church is vacant and we are praying and fasting about the possibility of purchasing this land.    The property is 32 feet by 135 feet long.    I have been in contact with the owner about sailing the land.   The land belongs to a couple and they are separated and living in different locations.    The man wants to sell and the lady does not want to sale.

       This property would be used for offices, class rooms, kitchen, men and ladies dormitory for the Bible College.    We are hoping to build a three story building to help us accommodate the large crowds that are coming on Saturday and Sundays.    It will cost thousands to build but God will provide!

       The market value would be close to $38,000 US    Since they have not agreed to sale we do not know the final price.     We have saved up a total of $8,700 US for this property.    We are praying that the rest of the funds will be raised so we can go ahead and start offering the owners some funds and try to get them to sale.    Please pray for this need.    

Property # 2

Another property need that we have would be another property right  next to the church.  The property is 47 feet by 135 feet long.    I have talked to the owner four years ago and he wanted $70,000 US for this property.   It faces a main paved street and is right next to our church.    We could double the capacity of our auditorium with this property purchase.     The owner may ask a lot at today's prices since it has been four years since I talked to him.   The dollar has lost 30% of its value in the last five years.

Property # 3

Another property for sale right now just one lot over in front the church is priced at $70,000 US.    The property is 45 feet in the front by 105 feet long.    It already has a roof over half the property.    This property could be used for our Bible College, Junior Church, Youth Program, and overflow area for our auditorium.

Their are other properties that we need to look into and possible consider purchasing.    The property across the street in front of the church is for sale.   The size is 4 acres.  

 We also looked into purchasing a Motel Resort Center two miles from the church that we could use for our Bible College.   Please pray that God will guide us in the right direction as far as our property needs for the Bible College and Church.

Vehicle Need

Another need that we have is to purchase a Passenger Van to be used for our family and also the ministry.    We have close to $5,000 US saved up for this purchase.    The cost for a new van would be $36,800 US.     We can possible purchase a used van is good condition for $26,700 US.     The van would be used to for our bus routes, for the Bible College, help in starting new churches, and with evangelistic campaigns.     

Need for a 15 passenger Van

for Church Work and Personal Use

A need that we have is to purchase a passenger van in order to avoid the high cost of van rental.

A nice new 15 passenger van will cost $36 thousand dollars.  Our plan is to purchase a passenger van and use it for our family use and for ministry use every day!!

A passenger Van will be very practical and a tremendous boasts to the work of church planting.  We currently get around by walking, bicycle, Taxi, public bus, or rent a Van in order to get the work done.
